Before making any further investment in your idea be sure you are pursuing something that has the potential to pay off. Patents or prototypes are NOT required for an evaluation. Sketches and/or written description will do.

Find out if your idea has LICENSING potential (collecting royalty income based on wholesale sales). Is your new product idea substantially different from the competition? Toy companies license new concepts having one or more of the following qualifying elements:

• ORIGINALITY
• UNIQUE FEATURES
• NOVEL PLAY VALUE

MDA's PRODUCT EVALUATION provides a minimum cost review of these elements as they pertain to your idea. The evaluation will result in one of the following recommendations:

1. STOP! The concept is not strong enough to compete with products currently on the market for the reasons outlined in the Evaluation report. We recommend you do not go forward.

2. HAS POTENTIAL - NEEDS FURTHER WORK. Your concept meets Toy Industry requirements. MDA recommends further enhancement, development or prototyping to prepare your idea for presentation. Once prepared, MDA guarantees representation.

3 . LET'S GO ! Your concept meets all requirements, you have a presentable prototype ready to show. We are ready to make personal presentations to toy company executives.

To proceed with your Product Evaluation follow these steps:

A. Print and fill out the CONFIDENTIALITY FORM & PRODUCT DESCRIPTION FORM.

B. Include a check or money order for $125.00 U.S. Dollars to cover the Evaluation fee and add RETURN POSTAGE if you are sending a prototype, video or other materials which you would like returned to you.

For our friends outside of North America (USA & Canada) the Evaluation fee is $150.00 U.S. Dollars plus RETURN POSTAGE.
